When I was in highschool I was a ” small group leader” for elementary school girls at my church. We met every Sunday for 4 years. As a highschool freshman I was placed with the youngest kids in the group: 1st graders. Then, as they were graduating from elementary school, I was graduating from high school. The timing was perfect and it was fun to celebrate with the girls.
Well, this is where I met Evan. She was this little ball of fire with a huge personality and a lot of spunk. She loved singing and dancing and acting, so she’d often make appearances in the Sunday morning skits.
Her family always knew I was into photography, so when they needed photos a few years ago, they came to me because he girls were trying to get into modeling so they needed some headshots for their portfolios. We’ve done photos every year or two, and now Evan is graduating from high school! It’s amazing to see just how much this little first grader has grown up. She’s beautiful, hard-working, and has a bright future ahead of her. My favorite quote of the day was, “Hey, Cate? So I’m not sure how many photos you delete as you go through them, but can you keep some of the silly ones? I know most people don’t like those, but they’re me!” Sure thing, Evan.
Paige, now 5’11, has also grown up a lot. Once a shy little tot, she now smiles all the time and has a lot to say. She’s become a passionate volleyball player and is trying to get into modeling again.
Now, enjoy their photos!
